Implemented 4/29/08	Invert chart colours when in night vision mode
	On the Mac, when night vision mode is enabled, it is difficult to read the FOV and Sky charts when the brightness is low. Increasing the brightness makes the background window too bright. Perhaps inverting the charts (i.e. black stars, etc. on a white background will help.
Resolution	Implemented. Also for V1.6.1. An additional checkbox in Preferences→General→Night Vision Mode Settings does the trick (in both Mac and Windows).

	Sometimes it's convenient to add a "dummy" entry into a plan document, by adding an object with RA=0 and Dec=0. Make that entry stand out in the Observing/Planning lists by using a different background colour, coloured text, bold-face font, etc.
Resolution	Implemented. Also for V1.6b9. If RA and Dec = 0 then a blue colour is used.

	Add an option to be able to transfer object notes to the notes field of an observation.
Resolution	Implemented. Also for V1.6b8. Right-clicking the observation notes will provide a "Insert Object Notes" menu item, if the object in question has anything in the Notes field. Also, Prefs→Observations has an "Initialise observation notes with object notes" setting. This will automatically copy the object notes across to any newly-created observation.

	If Prefs→Observations→Observation Date/Time source: Ask user, and Prefs→Observations→Use UT for all new observations: Checked, then the UT time used is incorrectly offset by the GMT offset of the current site.

Developer Analysis	This seems to be a side effect of assigning telescopes to particular sites.
Resolution	Fixed. Also for V1.6b8. Note: Unfortunately this fix means that any plan documents opened for the first time afterwards will lose their Site and Telescope settings. However, they will be saved correctly thereafter. You will get a warning message. As a side benefit, opening a plan document after adding, deleting or renaming site/telescope resources should work a lot better.

Developer Analysis	A bug is causing images to be saved with the name as a string of underscores of the same length as the ID. This means that if you have, say, a comet with the same length ID (e.g. 17P/Holmes and 29P/Ratbag), then user images will be common to both.
Resolution	Fixed. Also for V1.6b5. Warning: this will make any user images associated with solar-system objects inaccessible. You will have to reload them. Please contact the author if this is a major problem for you.

	Creating user images of some objects causes an exception.
Developer Analysis	This occurs for Comets/Minor-Planets (only), where the ID has a bogus character in it (e.g. "17P/Holmes"). The system attempts to create a file with the character in it and fails.

Implemented 10/25/07	User image subfolders
	Adding User images places them all in a single User folder, but doesn't make subfolders as per the DSS Options. It would be nice if the User folder observed the same rules for subfolders.

I think it would be better if it defaulted to opening in a resizeable window rather than being maximized.
Developer Analysis	The problem here is that if one "document" window is maximised in an MDI app, then all other "document" windows are forced to do so.

Developer Analysis	The problem here is one of round-off error. If the RA or Dec is within 0.5" of the 30' mark, it will round the wrong way when the image is cached. In this case the RA is 00:15:29.7. This was being rounded up to 00:15:30 to get the image which was then further rounded up to 00:16 for the image file, when it should've been rounded down to 00:15.
Resolution	Fixed. Also for V1.5.9a6. Note that you will have to re-download-and-cache the offending image/s. Will also have the effect of better centering of plan objects, esp. at high magnifications.

	If you tag the Flip East/West and/or Flip North/South in the Display Options of the Sky-tab, then the arrow in the Observing-tab indicating the direction of view changes direction according the Flips, but the letters EWNS don't swap accordingly.
Developer Analysis	Workaround: Use the Preferences→Sky settings to select the Sky basic chart orientation.

Fixed 4/28/07	Problems with bad coordinates on non-US operating systems
	On a system with non-English number formatting (e.g. 1.000.000,34), objects are being added with bad coordinates.
Developer Analysis	This can be caused if you have inconsistent number formatting settings in your OS. In this case, both the decimal point and the thousands grouping character were accidentally set to the same character (and Windows didn't pick it up. Boo.)
Resolution	Fixed. An alert is now shown on startup if this kind of problem is found. Also for V1.5.8.

	When telescope limits are exceeded, beeping starts up, but there's no other indication. Perhaps some text somewhere: "Telescope Alt Limit exceeded", etc. Also, checkboxes to enable the limits would be nice.

Implemented 4/27/07	Fix Date should lock in current date/time by default
	If an existing plan is opened and does not have a fixed date, clicking the 'fix date' button displays a date & time other than the current date & time. I'm guessing it might be the date & time the file was last saved. I think it makes more sense to show the current values. Likewise, clicking the box to the left of 'Fix Date' should lock in the current date & time.
Resolution	Implemented. Partially. Clicking the "Fix Date..." button now initialises the dialog with the current date/time. Holding down Shift when you do that will initialise it to the previous values. However, I do not believe clicking the checkbox to the left of the button should change the fixed date/time. It is convenient to set a fixed date/time and then use the check box to toggle that fixed date/time on and off. Also for V1.5.8.

Implemented 3/3/07	Add Sunrise/sunset time buttons to Fix Date dialog
	In addition to the 'Now' button, another program I use, that will remain unnamed, also has  'Sunrise' & 'Sunset' buttons that I use quite often. On most evenings I'll click 'Sunset' then use their keyboard shortcuts to quickly advance the time to match the time I plan on observing. Also, maybe add an 'Apply & Close' button so the new time is applied then the popup is closed. I think reducing keystrokes is always a good thing, especially if you are using AP outside, in the dark.

	Remove dependencies on REALDatabase and REALDatabaseOldFormat, neither of which is supported on Intel Mac. This will probably mean that an external app will be needed by some Mac OS X users (on Intel Macs) in order to convert from one type to another. Perhaps the conversion can be done by a PPC shell app.
Resolution	Implemented. Conversion is done internally. Old format files are kept with the prefix "old-" added. The Intel Mac problem will be dealt with later.
