The spiral scan feature exhibits the following problems:

a. If the Telescope option is selected, the telescope position is always one step behind the actual position.

b. The scan appears "rectangular", i.e. steps in the EW direction are shorter than the steps in the NS direction.

c. Misnumbering of the steps in some instances.

d. Unreliable operation when a "real" telescope is used (as opposed to an emulated telescope).
